Members of our committee

From 21st May 2008, we have a new Chair, Robert Egglestone and he will be working closely with David Reynolds (pictured left), who is our Vice Chairman. David came to be involved in Fairtrade through his concern for the environment.
He says:
'Most Fairtrade goods are organic by default, because the farmers can't afford expensive agrochemicals and they use traditional farming methods handed down through generations. So the consumer benefits from the high quality of a product grown on small family farms to high enviromental standards.'
Our treasurer is Anna Hodgetts. Thank you for volunteering, Anna!
Anna is kept very busy with all her work for the local Liberal Democrat Party. She bakes the most amazing cakes for our coffee mornings.
Here is Clare Hole, our Minutes Secretary - who does a lot more than the minutes!!
Together with her husband Graham, Clare runs a business from home and promotes Fairtrade goods wherever possible.
Here is Eileen helping  helping out at the debate that our group organised in conjunction with the Brighton Group for Fairtrade Fortnight 2006.
With her are 2 students from St. Paul's who were on our committee during their time in the Sixth Form. We are lucky to always have youth members on our committee.
Janice Henwood is another hard-working member of our group. She has been in Burgess Hill for a number of years, with a break to go and live in Zimbabwe. Janice is a teacher who organises fun sessions for local brownies, guides and cubs in which they find out all about Fairtrade.
